Versland Selection has its roots in the Westland.
In 1992 three local auctions merged into one vegetable auction, Groenteveiling Westland.
The auction location in ‘s-Gravenzande, traditionally a strong supplier of radishes, was closed in 1993. Several radish growers sought an alternative marketing channel for their products, and the basis for Versland Selection was laid.
In 2001 the company adopted the new name Versland Selection
During the next year all activities were combined at one location in Poeldijk. Due to the trust shown in us by the first group of radish growers, we have built up a good reputation as a trade organisation. Currently, Versland Selection is the market leader in radishes.
